A spin-off from the initial assessments done for the GNI Startups Lab. We further delved into the research to understand the relationship between Design and Innovation maturity, after seeing overlaps an confuison in the subject.

Which led to the development of an assessment tool to measure the maturity level of Design and Innovation for individuals and teams.

The assessment became a standard procedure on our projects to deliver a comprehensive display of the evolution of the teams involved, before and after our projects or in-company training.

82% of the total leakage of plastic waste entering the oceans comes from Asia.—Ocean-Bound plastic is all mismanaged plastic waste generated in areas near the coasts, which is bound to end up in the ocean.

To tackle this issue I realized an extensive Green Procurement and partner with a supplier that could provide us with ethically sourced Ocean Bound flakes with guaranteed full traceability.

Having such a strong message the product needed to communicate it across borders, languages, and cultures. That was the premiss for the Ocean’s brand and naming, followed by its translation into shape.

The design of the packaging mimics the sea surface with wavelike curves, communicating its history without words. Everything was tied together with a commercial strategy for key clients.

The project was recognized by the Italian Confindustria award for Best Performer of the Circular Economy.

As Design Manager of Echos Desirable Futures Lab, I was responsible for the Brazil's operation and organization.

In doing so, I fostered collaboration, creating processes with our Design ops, the commercial and marketing strategy with sales and marketing teams, and the hiring and setup of a fully remote team to deliver successful projects. I also bridged a long time gap between the Lab and School operations, optimizing both, through integration and latent synergies.

From a qualitative perspective, established through a partnership with 14 companies in different sectors - retail, technology, health, finance - and with Brazilian pharmaceutical industries - we sought to understand the digital transformation and the good practices developed so far in the National context.

The result was a full report shared with the participants of the study plus a specific report for the client with an internal analysis and recommendations.
